ROBIN CAMP/Lebanon Express SWAT comes in and clears a room after taking the door apart. Training in the school allowed the SWAT team to practice with multiple types of doors which presented different challenges such as inward facing doors, outward facing doors and doors that had been nailed shut.
ROBIN CAMP/Lebanon Express Rebecca Fallon, 7 a second grader at Pioneer gets a chance to use a fire hose Thursday evening as part of Pioneers first annual Safety night. Kids had the opportunitys to learn bike safety, get bike or skateboarding helmets free courtesy of Lebanon Community Hospital, be fingerprinted and photographed for IDs, learn about fire safety, safe bicycling habits, and visit with McGruff. The event, which was put together by to help children learn more about safety was largely put together by Dayla Johnson of the Lebanon Police Department and and Roseanne Hartness, the Passroom Supervisor at Pioneer School.
